I Am Not Afraid of Dying, But I am Afraid of Not Living.

Will you be attending Easter Mass in Front of Your Television Again in 2021?

Lent will start on February 17th. Remember last year around this time? We could not attend Easter Masses in person because the government limited access to Church activities.

The lock-down was supposed to be only temporary. Now a year later what about lock down rules has changed? Instead of no people in attendance, we can have 50% in attendance here in Maryland. But local jurisdictional limitations may be less. And, you have to register to attend Mass! Do you have your ineffective mask on?

Our Church leaders continue to comply with state rulings regarding attendance at Mass. What happened to religious freedom? There was no push-back by Church Leaders, anywhere. There was no cry about the sanctity of religious freedom. Only a submissive stance toward the all-powerful state.

So now we have the worship of false gods. Yep, the Church allows the worship of our health before the worship of God. I recently heard an interesting statement from a Catholic friend “I am not afraid of dying, but I am afraid of not living”. I am not suggesting that attendance be made mandatory to satisfy holy obligations. If people do not want to attend Mass due to exposure to a virus, they can be given a dispensation.

What is the result of closing our Churches to comply with the State’s decree? Catholic churches that were in decline now are falling off the precipice. Millions of Catholics are denied the Eucharist. Millions of souls have been lost because the Church has limited access to Mass, reduced giving the sacraments that we need to obtain supernatural grace.

So what do we do? What actions can be taken? Perhaps we can discuss at our March 1st Church Restoration meeting.

About Church Restoration

Our Mission is to present an environment whereby Catholics can deepen their knowledge of the faith, their prayer lives and defend the Faith against apostasy. One cannot proclaim Faith without knowing the Faith and loving the Faith.
