So often I hear people ask “what can we do?” and “how can we win?”
I was listening to Steve Bannon’s War Room featuring GAB’s founder Andrew Torba. Mr. Torba’s advice on how to win the secular war was for Christians to band together and support those institutions that believe in Christian values. Simple enough.
It reminded me of the story of the founding of Bank of America by Amadeo Pietro Giannini. He started the Bank of Italy in 1904. In those days, banks only lent money to large businesses and other assorted rich folks. Because of his humble beginnings, A. P. could relate to the immigrant poor, read immigrant Italians, and their needs. He trusted hard-working poor people and wanted to extend credit to them through liberal loan policies, "To give the little guy a bank that will do business with him." Then in 1929 he combined a number of banks and created Bank of America. Mr. Giannini’s brilliance was encouraging those in the Italian community to do business with a fellow Italian.
Mr. Torba has similar advice for all of us. He tells all of us that we have the power to not only fight but win a war against our secular society. How do we do that? We patronize business and organizations that believe in and will valiantly support Christian values.
What are your suggestions for banks, lawyers, accountants, restaurants, mortgage lenders, and on and on? Together our group can make a significant difference. Bring your suggestions to our March 1st meeting. It is important.
Our Mission is to present an environment whereby Catholics can deepen their knowledge of the faith, their prayer lives and defend the Faith against apostasy. One cannot proclaim Faith without knowing the Faith and loving the Faith.
