Recently the USCCB released a statement on the inauguration of our current President. It is called USCCB President's Statement on the Inauguration of Joseph R. Biden, Jr., as 46th President of the United States of America https://www.usccb.org/news/2021/usccb-presidents-statement-inauguration-joseph-r-biden-jr-46th-president-united-states
I think it is quite rich that the USCCB issues such a statement “after” Joe Biden is elected president. The statement mentions the USCCB’s responsibility to proclaim the Gospel. From the article;
“So, I must point out that our new President has pledged to pursue certain policies that would advance moral evils and threaten human life and dignity, most seriously in the areas of abortion, contraception, marriage, and gender.”
There was nothing unknown about Joe Biden’s commitment to abortion and to planned parenthood. His entire political career reflected those beliefs. Joe Biden pledged continued commitment to this intrinsic evil during his campaign.
It is said that all that is needed for evil to succeed is for good men to do nothing. Well, here we are inaugurating a pro-abortion President and the USCCB said and did nothing when it counted.
If the USCCB were so “captivated” by their role in proclaiming the gospel, this statement should have been issued before the election.
The article further states:
“For the nation’s bishops, the continued injustice of abortion remains the “preeminent priority.”
Well, again, not when it counted.
Most respectfully submitted
Our Mission is to present an environment whereby Catholics can deepen their knowledge of the faith, their prayer lives and defend the Faith against apostasy. One cannot proclaim Faith without knowing the Faith and loving the Faith.
